Monthly Archives: October 2015

Mary and Tim were married in the backyard of a home they rented in the Blue River neighborhood, south of Breckenridge, Colorado, near Hoosier Pass, September 12, 2015.

Wedding officiant, Julie Wright-Kile, performed the ceremony which included a hand-fasting element where the right hands of the bride and groom are tied together using cord, that Tim wove out of wool in an Irish pattern.

After the ceremony, Mary and Tim wanted a few mountain scenic pictures, so we drove to the top of Hoosier Pass at 11,542 feet, on the Continental Divide, with Mount Lincoln in the background.

We were back at the house in the woods before sunset, in time to do a series of family history pictures before dinner, with dancing, toasting, cake-cutting and a bouquet-and-garter belt toss from the balcony.

It’s always a pleasure to photograph destination weddings in the Rocky Mountains where everyone is relaxed and not in a hurry.

Having an intimate, mountain wedding kept the stress down and the fun factor high.

A special thanks to Mary and Tim for choosing me to document their wedding day.

Cheers, Kent
