Kids Cancer Camp

Recently I recieved and email from American Society of Media Photographers Colorado and a group called Flashes of hope seeking a few photographers to photograph 40 eight-year-old cancer patients at Camp Wapiyapi at Covenant Heights located between majestic Longs Peak and the popular Twin Sisters Mountains nine miles south of Estes Park.
Four ASMP photographers including me volunteered to take pictures as the kids enjoyed summer camp activities. American Society of Media Photographers Colorado.
Flashes of Hope is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses. Flashes of Hope. The portraits help children feel better about their changing apperarance by celebrating it. For families of terminally ill children, it's especially important to have a portrait that preserves forever the beauty, grace and dignity of their child.
If you would like to see a slideshow of Camp Wapiyapi CLICK HERE: Kids Cancer Camp. All of our slideshows require flash player. Download a free version here: flash player. Usually Flashes of Hope portraits are done in Hospitals and are done in black and white. Seeing these kids playing around in such beautiful enviroment having fun was a very uplifting experience for me and I hope that my pictures captured that feeling most of which are in color rather than B & W.
Have a great day, Kent
