Click here to see a short slideshow of Scott and Amanda’s wedding day.
Scott and Amanda were married at the Maroon Bells Amphitheater near Aspen, August 7, 2010.
My first stop was at Salon Tuillo where Amanda was having her hair and makeup done. Then it was on to the Jerome Hotel to meet up with Scott who was getting ready for their morning wedding. By 11AM everyone had arrived at the amphitheater.
Scott and Amanda had arranged not to see each other before their ceremony and it worked out perfectly. Scott caught his first glimpse of Amanda as her father walked her up the path in front about 35 of friends and family. Amanda’s dog, Tonka, a boxer made a great ring bearer.
The ceremony was followed by a luncheon reception at the Pine Creek Cookhouse, one valley over in the upper Castle Creek Valley near the silver mining ghost town of Ashcroft. The Pine Creek Cookhouse is legendary in the Roaring Fork Valley as a rustic restaurant with great food.
After the reception Amanda and Scott wanted to go play around and take a few pictures at Ashcroft which still has about 7 buildings standing.
We finished the afternoon back at the Jerome Hotel in Aspen with cocktails in the world famous J Bar.
My good friend, Todd Patrick of Glenwood Springs, helped document Scott and Amanda’s wedding.
Cheers, Kent
