Katrina Harr & Colin Garnett were married June 11, 2011 at the Denver Zoo. It was a rare morning wedding and all the people and animals were in great form. Katrina and Colin wanted to have a reveal before their ceremony and decided the Zoo Carousel would be the perfect place. Colin sat on one of his favorite animals, a giraffe, as Katrina strolled up behind him. For the next hour we wandered around visiting the elephants, giraffes, polar bears, peacocks, and the Komodo Dragons. The ceremony was held in the Conoco Zoo Gardens and Colin’s father Rodney, on flute and his fellow musician Alex Komodore, on guitar performed during the service lead by Colin’s good friend and college roommate, Travis Larsen, a Lutheran pastor.
The reception was held inside the covered pavilion next to the Zoo Gardens. The tables were set with tea party themes and there was a tea bar set up that was impressive.
Lunch was a catered by Taste of the Wild which does all the catering at the Zoo and they cooked up a great greek meal including a leg of lamb that was out of this world.
Kathy Vaughn, A Beautiful Memory, coordinated their wedding and it was a dream to work with her.
