The Carter-Payne Event Center in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs recently hosted a wedding photo session in the 2,000 square foot Gothic styled church.

I’ve known Brian for several years now as he’s been in several weddings I’ve photographed. I’d met Sarah but really never had a conversation with her until we did their engagement photo session somewhat recently. I had no idea she was an architect until I was photographing them with the Denver skyline. We had a fun time wandering around LoDo as the sun was setting and the Rockies were playing at Coors Field.
Congratulations to a fun couple!

Chris and Katie both grew up in Denver but met in LA where they both live now. They are getting married Sept 3, 2011 at Wild Basin Lodge in Estes Park. My friend Dave Russel will be photographing their wedding. For their engagement/lifestyle session they chose the Platte River area starting at REI.
Cheers, Kent

We recently went to a Rockies VS Cubs game at Coors Field. It was a beautiful spring evening and there was a big crowd including many Cubs fans. The highlight of the night for me was meeting Billy and his son Frank. It was Frank’s first Cubs game and his team won the game and they cheered like it was the World Series.
Cheers and Go Rockies, Kent

Megan and Andrew decided to do their wedding engagement pictures on New Years day in Basalt, Colorado where they both grew up. The only rub was that it was a cold day in the single digits for the high temperature. The sun was out and it wasn’t windy at least. We ended up having a great time wandering around town before going inside for a cup hot coco.
Megan is a long distance runner and running coach. Andrew is a rocket science engineer who I’ve known since he was a little kid shooting off rockets and fireworks in his backyard. They are getting married March 19, 2011 at the Crossroads Church in Aspen with their reception following at the Jerome Hotel.
I can’t wait for their wedding day. It’s going to be a blast doing a winter wedding in Aspen with such a fun couple.
Cheers, Kent
