Olympic Peninsula, Washington

We recently took a much-needed vacation to visit the Pacific Northwest, beginning in Seattle and then traveling by ferry to the Olympic Peninsula. Our trip started with an icy, first-snow-of-winter drive to Denver International Airport. It took so long to get to the airport that we actually had to sprint to our gate, just as...

Jill and Craig’s Maroon Bells Wedding

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Jill and Craig’s intimate wedding at the Maroon Bells Amphitheater in Aspen, Colorado. The Maroon Bells are said to be the most photographed place on earth! When I showed up to photograph the peaks at sunrise, there were at least 150 photographers lined up around Maroon Lake to capture the fall colors in the morning light.

Jill and Craig’s afternoon ceremony was unbelievably beautiful. Following the newly married couple as they strolled along the beach at Maroon Lake as the sun was setting blew me away. They were having so much fun drinking champagne and taking in the amazing views.

Their reception was held at the Ritz-Carlton Club at Aspen Highlands in the Willow Creek Bistro where Chef De Cuisne, Jami Flatt prepare a wonderful sit down dinner.

Stacy Pisani of Alexan Events not only helped Jill and Craig coordinate their wedding but also designed all of the bouquets and floral arrangements.

Click here if you would like to see a short slideshow of Jill and Craig’s wedding day.

Rachel and Ben’s Vail, Colorado Wedding

Last Sunday, I had the great pleasure of documenting Rachel and Ben’s wedding in Vail, Colorado. The Ceremony was held Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and the reception was at the Donovan Pavilion.

Geri, my wife, and Rachel have been friends for many years. They use to work together at The Denver News Paper Agency before Rachel moved back to New York to work for her families paper The New York Times.

Rachel had always dreamed of having a destination mountain wedding surrounded by family and friends and now that dream is a reality.

Kristin and Nick’s Boulder Wedding

Last Saturday, I had the great pleasure of photographing the wedding of Kristin Jones and Nick Troiano.

There ceremony was held at Sunrise Amphitheater on Flagstaff Mountain overlooking the front range and their reception was held at the St. Julien Hotel in Boulder.

Tricia Wales with Finesse Events did a great job keeping everyone of the same from one location to another.

Kristin and Nick’s wedding was planned around music from the quintet that played during their ceremony and included Kristin’s brother Sean on clarinet to the bluegrass band that played during the cocktail hour and on to the old school funk band Buckner Funken Jazz that played during their reception.

Even before all that, Nick and the guys were listening to one of their favorite bands Government Mule while getting dressed.

I absolutely loved photographing their wedding documenting the day as it naturally unfolded. Both Kristin and Nick were total at easy enjoying every moment of the day with their family and friends.

Cheers, Kent
