Colorado-Eagle River Ride

A couple of weeks ago I documented the Colorado-Eagle River Ride. Geri and friends Jim and Jodi were doing the century loop that included about 24 miles on a dirt road along the upper Colorado River. It was a blue sky mountain day without any threats of rain and it wasn’t even too hot.

Andy and Rachel-Engagement

A couple of weeks ago I met up with Andy and Rachel at Lily Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park for their engagement photo session. It was a warm sunny day and you could see Longs Peak.

Andy and Rachel are getting married August 21st up the road at Taharaa Mountain Lodge.

Lindley Hut 2010

Last weekend we went on our annual Hut Trip. This year it was to the Lindley Hut near Aspen, Colorado. The trail starts near Ashcroft a historic sliver mining ghost town in the White River National Forest. The Lindley Hut is a little smaller than the huts in the 10th Mountain Division but it was perfect for our group of 10 skiers and snowshoer’s.

Jennifer and Ronnie’s Copper Mountain Wedding

Jennifer and Ronnie were married last Saturday at the top of Copper Mountain Resort on a rainy afternoon. No worries, they bused everyone up the mountain rather than ride the lift and because of the weather they held their ceremony inside Solitude Station rather than outside. Ronnie was given special permission to drive up in his Jeep which he thought was perfect.

They had an intimate ceremony with 40 guests celebrating their union before driving back down the mountain for their reception at C.B Grille in the Village at Copper.

Shannon Bianco with Copper Mountain did a great job coordinating both the ceremony and the reception on the fly as the weather changed many of the plans.

The sun finally came out and Jennifer and Ronnie walked around the village in beautiful evening light.
