James and Martina held their Colorado destination winter wedding ceremony at the Lord of the Mountains Lutheran Church in Dillon, Colorado on January 9, 2016 followed by a reception at Blue Sky Breckenridge.

Kent Meireis Photography specializes in Colorado Destination winter weddings in Dillon and Breckenridge, Colorado.

Martina was born and raised in Colorado. James was born and raised in Australia where they now live on a cattle ranch. Choosing to celebrate their wedding in the mountains of Colorado on a cold winter day rather than a hot summer day in Australia was an easy decision for a snow loving couple.

Thank you Martina and James for choosing Kent Meireis Photography to document your wedding day in the beautiful mountains of Summit County Colorado.

Cheers, Kent Meireis

Mary and Tim were married in the backyard of a home they rented in the Blue River neighborhood, south of Breckenridge, Colorado, near Hoosier Pass, September 12, 2015.

Wedding officiant, Julie Wright-Kile, performed the ceremony which included a hand-fasting element where the right hands of the bride and groom are tied together using cord, that Tim wove out of wool in an Irish pattern.

After the ceremony, Mary and Tim wanted a few mountain scenic pictures, so we drove to the top of Hoosier Pass at 11,542 feet, on the Continental Divide, with Mount Lincoln in the background.

We were back at the house in the woods before sunset, in time to do a series of family history pictures before dinner, with dancing, toasting, cake-cutting and a bouquet-and-garter belt toss from the balcony.

It’s always a pleasure to photograph destination weddings in the Rocky Mountains where everyone is relaxed and not in a hurry.

Having an intimate, mountain wedding kept the stress down and the fun factor high.

A special thanks to Mary and Tim for choosing me to document their wedding day.

Cheers, Kent

Angelina and Toby are getting married at Keystone June 14, 2014 in a mountain top ceremony. Their love of Summit County, winter and the fact that they were engaged in Breckenridge lead to doing winter engagement photos in this cool mountain town.

We met up at The Gold Pan Saloon on a beautiful snowy afternoon and headed out to play around in the snow along Main Street before wandering into The Absinthe Bar at the Haven to warm-up. Perhaps the highlight was doing an evening photo session at the Ice Castles.

We had so much fun, I can’t wait for their wedding!

Cheers, Kent

Nikki and Nathan were married September 28, 2013 at One Ski Hill Place.

It was a beautiful, blue sky fall day, with aspen trees turning gold and a cool nip in the air. Nikki and her bridesmaids were getting ready and watching college football at the same time, as their alma mater Lowa Hawkeyes were playing on national TV, while Nathan and his groomsmen were trying on tuxes, ties and cuff links. Nathan was one well-outfitted guy, wearing a sassy pair of red argyle socks. His cuff links were designer bottle openers.

Nikki planned her own wedding and was tweaking a few game-time decisions, right up to the ceremony on the deck outside of the T-Bar.

Dina with Petal and Bean in Breckenridge designed bouquets, table arrangements etc.

Sarah Wetmore a coordinator with One Ski Hill Place did a great job of keeping up with Nikki and Nathan so everything was smooth and exactly the way Nikki wanted.

DJ Jay Kacik, Standing Room Only worked his magic keeping the introductions, toasts, couple dances and other events going all night.

Thank you Nikki and Nathan for trusting me to document your wedding day!

Cheers, Kent
