The location of Molly and Marc’s engagement shoot changed three times, moving from a ski day at Copper Mountain, to Red Rocks, finally settling on the LoHi neighborhood. Being flexible paid off: we had a beautiful, spring day with lots of trees in bloom. We also had a great time getting to know each other, as we wandered around looking for the right spot with interesting light. Their dog Abby, will have a role in the wedding on August 22, 2014 at the Black Mountain Lodge at A-Basin.

Nikki and Nathan were married September 28, 2013 at One Ski Hill Place.

It was a beautiful, blue sky fall day, with aspen trees turning gold and a cool nip in the air. Nikki and her bridesmaids were getting ready and watching college football at the same time, as their alma mater Lowa Hawkeyes were playing on national TV, while Nathan and his groomsmen were trying on tuxes, ties and cuff links. Nathan was one well-outfitted guy, wearing a sassy pair of red argyle socks. His cuff links were designer bottle openers.

Nikki planned her own wedding and was tweaking a few game-time decisions, right up to the ceremony on the deck outside of the T-Bar.

Dina with Petal and Bean in Breckenridge designed bouquets, table arrangements etc.

Sarah Wetmore a coordinator with One Ski Hill Place did a great job of keeping up with Nikki and Nathan so everything was smooth and exactly the way Nikki wanted.

DJ Jay Kacik, Standing Room Only worked his magic keeping the introductions, toasts, couple dances and other events going all night.

Thank you Nikki and Nathan for trusting me to document your wedding day!

Cheers, Kent

Ashlee and Alex, The A-Team, were married in Breckenridge, Colorado, on July 20, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with their reception at the Beaver Run Resort on the ski mountain.

This was the hardest wedding to edit so far this season – there were just too many great moments.

Dina from Petal and Bean in Breckenridge did a great job of being both the wedding planner and florist. We ended up using the front of her building located in the first barn in Breckenridge for pictures with the bridal party. We had a great time wandering around this cute, little mountain town stopping in the The Gold Pan Saloon for a couple of rounds of chilled tequila shots including a round on a shot-ski!

At the reception, the toasts were so heartfelt and funny that emotions were off the charts. Alex surprised everyone when he decided to smear cake on Ashlee’s face during the cake-cutting ceremony, then she in turn got the best of him. I knew the A-Team had been planning and practicing for their first dance, and it was very cool and original. Then Ashlee and her dad blew the room away with a wild swing dance followed by Alex and his mother in an emotional pairing that moved many to tears.

Courtney of Hampton Entertainment kept the music flowing from one perfect song to another.

Ellen Jaskol assisted me as guest photographer bringing some great portrait ideas, as well as capturing some nice, little journalistic moments.

Thanks to The A-Team for choosing me to photograph their fun-filled weekend in Breckenridge!

Cheers, Kent
