Sarah and Peter were married at the Colorado Mountain Ranch in Gold Hill, June 15, 2013. The CMR is also where they met while working as camp counselors, so this location holds special meaning to both the bride and groom. They hired a great wedding planner, Jessica of J. Green Weddings. Jessica and her team did a wonderful job of coordinating the wedding, and no detail was left untouched or unnoticed by Sarah and Peter. Their thoughtfulness toward their friends and families was evident and present all day and all evening. The toast made by Sarah’s father, Bob; sister and Maid of Honor, Becca; Best Man, Scott; and Peter’s brother, Greg; were all heartfelt.
Thank you both for choosing me to photograph your wedding, and for your thoughtfulness. I hope I can bake a pie for you both someday, even if it’s not as lovely as one of the more than a dozen pies you served from My Mom’s Pie in Niwot.
Rachel and Aaron were married at the Garden of the Gods Club in Colorado Springs on June 1, 2013.
It’s hard to beat the Garden of the Gods Club for a wedding anywhere in the world! It’s one of my all-time favorite wedding sites. The ranch-style layout at the top of a bluff, overlooking the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak in the distance is truly unbelievable. Then, add the manicured grounds, reflecting pool, wildlife, all bathed in warm afternoon light, and it is truly stunning.
Stacy and her team from Alexan Events provided all of the floral arrangements including the bouquets and event design, as well as coordinating Rachel and Aaron’s wedding day from start to finish. Stacy’s work is always modern and cutting-edge.
My friend Kevin Mohatt joined me as a guest photographer and captured some great moments.
Thank you Rachel and Aaron for choosing me to photograph your wedding! Congratulations, Kent
Recently I was asked by my friend Doug Wells to help photograph Le Bal de Ballet where 39 débutantes and 26 Young Men of Distinction to society are presented at the Denver Ballet Guild’s signature fund raiser.
Wow, it’s almost summer and I just won 4th place for a Weather-Winter-Wedding picture in Wedding Photojournalist Association. Competing with the many of the top wedding photojournalist from around the world makes for tough competition but I love it win or lose!
Cheers to all the winners and losers, Kent
