Kat and Patrick were married at the Artwork Network Gallery in Denver’s Santa Fe Arts District, February 1, 2014.
This was a dream wedding to document.
First, it was staged in a hip art gallery.
Second, it was a morning wedding with great light.
Third, it was a winter wedding with the addition of snow.
And fourth, Kat and Patrick let me do my thing capturing real moments. When it was time to make some distinctive portraits, they were happy to accompany me outside to play in the snow-filled alley behind the gallery. There we found some cool murals to use as backdrops.
Biscuits & Berries made a brunch that included red velvet pancakes that were so good, I want the recipe!
Colorado Harpist, Erin Newton, added a classical touch to the ceremony including a performance of “Lovesong” by The Cure, for the processional.
The couples’ personal friend, Willie Shepherd officiated at the ceremony for Kat and Patrick, which also included their children from previous marriages. The kids had fun launching flower petals from a potato cannon.
Congratulations and best wishes for a happy life together, Kent
