Steve and Loann were married June 4, 2016 at a Christies of Genesee Wedding.
The groom, Steve, and I go way back. Steve was a business reporter for The Denver Post for 25 plus years including the 10 years I worked there. Not only did we work together but we also, enjoyed going on winter skis trips to 10th Mountain Division Huts with many of our friends from the paper.
Steve’s father was a member of the original 10th Mountain Division soldiers who trained on skis in the mountains of Colorado during World War II and went on to battle the Germans in the mountains of Italy. Many of these soldiers returned to Colorado after the war and helped start the ski industry in Aspen and Vail.
Steve’s good friend Dave Christie, who is also a descendant of a 10th Mountain Division veteran, owned and operated Christies of Genesse hosting weddings and other events. It’s classic venue with a mountain-scenic view over looking Denver from the foothills. Dave retired last year and sold his business to Frank and Kerri Collier who coordinated Steve and Loann’s wedding and reception.
Their wedding revolved around their families, including Loann’s Vietnamese parents and many relatives along with Steve’s family and many close knit groups of friends.
Thank you Steve and Loann for choosing me to document your beautiful celebration.
James and Martina held their Colorado destination winter wedding ceremony at the Lord of the Mountains Lutheran Church in Dillon, Colorado on January 9, 2016 followed by a reception at Blue Sky Breckenridge.
Kent Meireis Photography specializes in Colorado Destination winter weddings in Dillon and Breckenridge, Colorado.
Martina was born and raised in Colorado. James was born and raised in Australia where they now live on a cattle ranch. Choosing to celebrate their wedding in the mountains of Colorado on a cold winter day rather than a hot summer day in Australia was an easy decision for a snow loving couple.
Thank you Martina and James for choosing Kent Meireis Photography to document your wedding day in the beautiful mountains of Summit County Colorado.
Cheers, Kent Meireis
Deirdre and Ryan’s Denver New Year’s Eve wedding was held at Our lady of Lourdes Catholic Church followed by a reception at the Manor House.
The weather was absolutely prefect for a winter wedding. It went from a sunny blue sky day to a slightly cool and clear evening with no wind.
Father Brian Larkin performed the ceremony at their local parish with about 200 family members and guests.
Bouquets and floral arrangements were made and Sue and Kendra Kimball of Kimball Floral.
Their wedding cake was designed and baked by Ryan’s cousin Kathleen Davia, owner of Gateaux Bakery.
My good friend Sean Cayton of Cayton Photography helped as guest photographer.
