Angelina and Toby wanted to have a winter wedding but their families talked them out of it. Their June 14, 2014 destination mountain top wedding at Mozart’s Deck at Keystone Resort was as cold as a winter day and it even snowed.

Their engagement photos were taken last winter in Breckenridge on a cold snowing day/evening last January.

Melanie Hankinns of Hands Down Event Planning kept their wedding day running smoothly from start to finish.

Videographer, Angel Andres worked great with both Geri and I.

Thank you Angelina and Toby for choosing me to photograph your wedding.

Congratulation, Kent

Angelina and Toby are getting married at Keystone June 14, 2014 in a mountain top ceremony. Their love of Summit County, winter and the fact that they were engaged in Breckenridge lead to doing winter engagement photos in this cool mountain town.

We met up at The Gold Pan Saloon on a beautiful snowy afternoon and headed out to play around in the snow along Main Street before wandering into The Absinthe Bar at the Haven to warm-up. Perhaps the highlight was doing an evening photo session at the Ice Castles.

We had so much fun, I can’t wait for their wedding!

Cheers, Kent

Ashley and Shelby celebrated their Colorado mountain destination wedding at Keystone Ranch August 24, 2013.

The wedding was designed to be relaxed and open with a very loose timeline. The couple didn’t even schedule a first dance, because they wanted an organic, random flow of events. No problem! In fact, I enjoy going with the flow and letting things unfold.

Ashley wanted to do their reveal and some portraits at an old barn earlier in the day. I had never heard of this location on the golf course, accessed by a cart ride. It was a unique, rustic location providing solitude where the bride and groom were able to share their heartfelt emotions without feeling rushed.

Ashley’s uncle from New Orleans was the officiant for their brief wedding ceremony. It was short and sweet, and was exactly what the couple wanted.

Colorado bluegrass band, Chain Station provided music at the reception. They performed an unplugged set during the cocktail party, and then fully plugged-in after dinner for a serious dance party.

It’s always a pleasure to work with a couple who trusts me to do my thing and have fun, while they enjoy their special day.

Cheers to Ashley and Shelby!

A special thank you to Elizabeth, wedding planner with Distinctive Mountain Events of Breckenridge, for the loose schedule and also for the great idea of utilizing the old barn for photos.

Garden of Eden Flowers of Frisco designed Ashley’s beautiful bouquet, and decorated the wedding arch, as well as the dinner tables at the reception.

Ashley and Shelby’s friend Jane Kramer, a singer-songwriter, almost caused water works when she warmed up her voice while Ashley was having her makeup done. Jane has an angelic voice and provided vocal accommodation with a few songs before the ceremony.

Erica Marx with Keystone Resorts Catering and Executive Pastry Chef, Ned Archibald (the wedding cake dude), both knocked it out of the park.
