Julia and Bob were married in a classic Denver Cherry Hills Country Club wedding, June 10, 2017.
Attending Julia and Bob’s rehearsal the evening before paid dividends. It was a pleasure to meet all the family members, the bridal party, the wedding planner, the catering manager and the officiate, Joe Coyle, a family friend from Paris, France.
Joe told me about his wedding pictures from the 1960’s in New York City, where he was a magazine editor, and that the pictures were shot in black-and-white in a candid style. Whenever I can attend a rehearsal and gain the trust of the main characters, it gives me more confidence going into the wedding and good things tend to happen.
Julia’s note to me after she saw her wedding pictures made my day.
“Kent, I just want you to know I absolutely love the photos. You captured exactly what we wanted for the day – much more of the emotion and subtler moments of the day. We knew we picked you for a reason – and the reason was perfectly reflected in the photos you delivered. Plus – you were so great to work with. Thank you for being a part of one of the most important days of our lives. We could not be happier with the outcome.”
Thank you to Julia, Bob, and Julia’s mother, Susan, for choosing me to photograph the special day.
Special thanks to the crew who helped with this Denver Cherry Hills Country Club Wedding.
Photojournalist Lance Murphy covered my back as a second photographer or as I like to put it, as a guest photographer.
