Kristin and Nick’s Boulder Wedding

00804

Last Saturday, I had the great pleasure of photographing the wedding of Kristin Jones and Nick Troiano.

Their ceremony was held at Sunrise Amphitheater on Flagstaff Mountain overlooking the front range and their reception was held at the St. Julien Hotel in Boulder.

Tricia Wales with Finesse Events did a great job keeping everyone of the same page from one location to another.

Kristin and Nick’s wedding was planned around music from the quintet that played during their ceremony and included Kristin’s brother Sean on  clarinet to the bluegrass band that played during the cocktail hour and on to the old school funk band Buckner Funken Jazz that played during their reception. Sean got into the action again playing with the funk band. I’d never heard a clarinet sound like that before! Even before all that, Nick and the guys were listening to one of their favorite bands Government Mule on an ipod while getting dressed.

I absolutely loved photographing their wedding day as it naturally unfolded. Both Kristin and Nick were totally at easy enjoying every moment of the day with their family and friends.

Click here to see a slideshow of their day.

Cheers, Kent

Kent, now that I know you personally, I see your personality in a lot of your work. From this take, I’m drawn to the bride and ladies getting into the car; the framing within a frame, layering, expression on the bride’s maid’s face and colors.
