Madison and Spencer were married July 18, 2015, at a private ranch in Old Snowmass, Colorado near Aspen.
As one of the top Aspen wedding photographers, it was my honor to document their wedding day in a classic photo-journalistic style capturing natural moments and a few artistic portraits.
The Roaring Fork Valley is home to many beautiful ranches that are perfect for outdoor sun-drenched weddings such as Madison and Spencer’s ceremony, which was followed by a tented reception in the same meadow where the wedding was held.
From the time we arrived to photograph Madison’s pre-wedding preparation at the Viceroy Snowmass to hanging out with the bridal party at the ranch house at Brush Creek, and throughout the ceremony and reception, we were treated like personal friends of the bride and groom – which makes for more personal wedding pictures!
Congratulations to Madison and Spencer, I’ll think of you every time I drive up Brush Creek Road, on the way to Snowmass.
Thank you both so much for choosing me to photograph your wedding day.
You might remember Madison and Spencer from their winter engagement photo session at their Brush Creek ranch home.
My good friend Sean Cayton joined me as a guest photographer.
Megan Hansen styled Madison’s hair , and she and Meg Harvey also styled the rest of the girls hair – from the Hair Bar in Carbondale.
Makeup was done by McKenzie Bartle, independent makeup artist.
DJ – Ronnie Shuman, Kickin Aspen Events did a great job running the audio for the ceremony, and keeping the dance floor hopping all night.
Floral – Susan’s Flowers, Carbondale, Colorado, created the bridal bouquets exactly the way Madison had envisioned them.
Cake – Cliff Little, formerly of Little Cliff’s Bakery (now closed) in Aspen, came out of retirement to create a stunning set of wedding cakes.
Tent Lighting – Derrick McFarlin & Jeddidiah Goodwin, Local Jacks.
