Darbi and Chase were married at the Old Thompson Barn at River Valley Ranch July 16, 2016.
Darbi grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley between Carbondale and Aspen. Chase grew up in the Denver metro area where the couple now live. They are both sports oriented. Darbi played softball and Chase was a hockey player and now referees. Their wedding ceremony included a puck drop with the bride and groom scrumming with hockey sticks. Darbi and her father played a game of catch with a softball to start their father daughter dance.
They picked the perfect location for their wedding and reception with the twin peaks of Mt. Sopris standing in the background.
The most touching point of their wedding day came when Darbi read her pledge to Chase’s young daughter, Lucie, during their ceremony.
Special thanks go to Amy Rollins, of Susan’s Flower’s in Carbondale. A few years ago, I photographed Amy’s wedding also in the shadows of Mt. Sopris. She and Darbi grew up together and Amy designed all of the flowers for this wedding and referred my services to Darbi.
Also, my good friend Sean Cayton joined me as a guest photographer.
Thank you Darbi and Chase for choosing me to document your heartfelt wedding.
