The Year 2010 was a good year for pictures. We mostly stayed closer to home traveling around Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Montana hiking, camping, climbing, biking, etc.

Our big trip of the year was to Rome and the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Personally, I use my adventures as a time to practice the craft of photojournalism documenting things that capture my imagination. The camera opens many doors introducing me to people and situations that I might not notice or explore if I wasn’t hunting story telling moments.

Editing my Pictures of the Year is a time-honored tradition among photojournalists. Not only do you decide which images float to the top but you also learn a lot about yourself and your work in the process. Often, the best pictures are right there in front of us as we live our daily lives.

Cheers, Kent
