Watch a short slideshow of Shannon and Pedro’s wedding day in pictures.
Shannon and Pedro were married at the top of Keystone Mountain, June 24, 2012.
I had been looking forward to documenting this wedding from the first time I spoke with Shannon. Her vintage style wedding, her plans to wear her aunts’ 1940’s wedding dress and her idea to have a custom-made birdcage veil created with hand-beaded headband intrigued me. But what really piqued my interest was the fact that Shannon understands documentary and art photography. One of her favorites, Robert Frank, is a Swiss-born photographer who came to America in the 50’s and produced the book, “The Americans” – a black and white documentary of post-World War II America.
Pedro is from Patagonia, Argentina, where he has worked as a hunting guide, while Shannon is a big city, New York gal. They met vacationing and now plan to blend their lives together living in New York City.
The reception was held in the Alpenglow Stube at the top of Keystone Mountain. One of the most memorable features of the reception was the dance party. Shannon chose DJ Dia Beshara of Absolute Family to keep the dance floor hopping.
Johnna Patton of Distinctive Mountain Events was a pleasure to work with, coordinating locations from Breckenridge to Dillon, as well as all over Keystone Mountain, which included two different gondola rides.
Congratulations Shannon and Pedro!
